2. Medical Official: Drug Shortages Threaten 200,000 Patients and 10,000 Surgeries
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip warned that the “dangerous and unprecedented state of depletion” the health system in the Strip is experiencing, after two years of war and a crippling blockade, is limiting its ability to provide diagnostic and treatment services, amid a sharp decline in stocks of medicines, medical supplies, and laboratory materials. The Director of the Care and Pharmacy Department at the Ministry of Health in Gaza stated that the current situation regarding medicines, medical supplies, laboratory materials, and other essential needs within the Ministry threatens to halt or affect 10,000 surgical procedures. The Palestinian Prisoners’ Affairs Commission, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club, and the Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association stated in a joint report that the documented testimonies and statements they collected, along with material evidence, confirm a deliberate policy of targeting prisoners physically and psychologically. Israel has suspended the operations of more than 20 humanitarian organizations working in the Gaza Strip, citing “failure to meet rules and regulations.” According to the Associated Press, among the organizations affected by the Israeli decision is Doctors Without Borders.
The agency explained, quoting informed sources, that Israel’s decision came under the pretext that these organizations did not meet its new regulations for verifying international organizations operating in Gaza.
This comes as part of Israel’s systematic restrictions on the work of relief organizations operating in the Strip, amidst the deteriorating humanitarian and living conditions resulting from the war of genocide, despite the ceasefire agreement reached last October.

12. Leonardo Hotels Targeted in Spain for Supporting the Occupation
Activists from the Global March to Gaza targeted the Leonardo hotel chain in Spain, protesting its role in supporting the occupation. The chain owns and operates more than 40 hotels in the occupied Palestinian territories, and activists argue that its activities contribute to the economic support of settlers. Leonardo hotels are considered part of the physical infrastructure of colonialism, as hotels operating in the occupied territories contribute to normalizing and whitewashing the occupation through tourism. This makes them a structural partner in supporting settlers and the apartheid regime, and a direct financial contributor to the continuation of the occupation’s crimes and violations in Palestine.
