**4. Closure of Gaza crossings signals rapid deterioration in food and health security**
The Director General of the Government Media Office, Dr. Ismail Al-Thawabta, stated that the Israeli closure of Gaza’s crossings until further notice, alongside threats to halt the operations of “World Central Kitchen” and the banning of 37 humanitarian organizations, has sharply worsened the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
Disruptions to supply chains, reduced entry of food and medical supplies, and the suspension of relief programs have directly impacted healthcare facilities and essential services, increasing pressure on vital sectors.
He warned that the continuation of these measures signals a rapid deterioration in food, health, and social security indicators, with the potential depletion of essential goods and unjustified price increases, further exacerbating the suffering of families, particularly the sick, children, the elderly, and other vulnerable groups. He stressed that the occupation bears full responsibility for these serious developments.
