1. One killed and homes demolished in eastern Gaza amid ongoing Israeli violations

The Israeli army continued its field violations in the Gaza Strip through demolition operations, shelling, and gunfire in several areas despite the ceasefire agreement, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to others in Al-Maghazi refugee camp.

According to local reports, one civilian was killed and several others were wounded, some critically, in an Israeli strike on Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza. The attack coincided with continued artillery shelling and demolitions in eastern Gaza.

Local sources said that one citizen was killed and several others injured, including some seriously, in a strike by an Israeli drone near the Abu Asi entrance to Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

## 2. Gaza photographers win the Golden Pen of Freedom Award

The World Association of News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) announced that the 2026 Golden Pen of Freedom Award will be awarded to Gaza photographers and video journalists working for the three major international news agencies: AFP, Associated Press, and Reuters.

The award ceremony will take place next Monday in the coastal city of Marseille, southern France, on the sidelines of the 77th World News Media Congress.

Representing Palestinian journalists, photographers Mohammed Salem (Reuters), Fatima Shbair (Associated Press), and Mohammed Abed (AFP) were selected to receive the award on behalf of their fellow journalists and media workers.

Zahran said that a group of settlers attacked residents while they were on their land. A vehicle carrying several settlers stopped nearby, and its passengers got out and approached them directly.

He added that the settlers opened fire when the residents attempted to reach their vehicle, before launching a violent assault using clubs, stones, axes, and sharp tools.

Settlers stole water pipes from the Khalayel al-Louz area southeast of Bethlehem.

Local sources reported that settlers entered the area, carried out acts of vandalism, and then stole water pipes located near a reservoir supplying drinking water to the region.

The area has been repeatedly subjected to settler attacks, including damage to irrigation networks and agricultural crops.
