1. 5 killed and others injured by Israeli occupation fire in Gaza as ceasefire violations continue

Five people, including a child, were killed as a result of the ongoing Israeli occupation violations of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, through shelling and gunfire in various parts of the Strip.

Israeli occupation forces continue to violate the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip through artillery shelling, gunfire, aircraft and reconnaissance flights, and the demolition of residential buildings in various areas of the Strip. Five civilians were injured on Sunday evening after displaced people’s tents and residential areas in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, were targeted.

**2. Tightened siege on Jerusalem coincides with “Day of Atonement” as occupation measures suffocate the city**

Israeli occupation forces imposed a tight siege and extensive movement restrictions on occupied Jerusalem and its surrounding areas, coinciding with the so-called Jewish “Day of Atonement,” amid the closure of institutions and shops and heightened security measures throughout the city.

The measures included the closure of several streets, major routes, and roads leading to Jerusalem, along with tighter restrictions on Palestinian movement, while occupation forces intensified their deployment throughout the city, around the Old City, and in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

**3. Al-Wafaa Hospital in Gaza suspends essential services as fuel shortage threatens further disruptions**

Al-Wafaa Hospital for Medical Rehabilitation and Specialized Surgery in the Gaza Strip announced the temporary suspension of several essential services due to a severe shortage of diesel and fuel needed to operate electricity generators and vehicles, amid a worsening operational crisis affecting healthcare facilities across the Strip.

The hospital said the suspended services include outpatient clinics, surgical operations, outpatient physical therapy, outpatient occupational therapy, as well as speech and swallowing services.

**4. Ongoing siege of Ras al-Ahmar: Occupation forces isolate 47 families and tighten restrictions on residents and solidarity activists**

For the seventh consecutive day, the Israeli occupation army has continued to impose a tight siege on Khirbet Ras al-Ahmar, southeast of Tubas in the northern Jordan Valley, after closing the last access route to the area and digging a trench that obstructed the movement of residents and vehicles.

The measures have resulted in the isolation of 47 Palestinian families, amid growing difficulties in accessing water, animal feed, agricultural land, and sources of livelihood.

The measures coincide with increased restrictions by the occupation forces on foreign solidarity activists attempting to reach the area and provide assistance to the besieged residents. At the same time, land leveling and demolition operations, as well as the destruction of water and agricultural infrastructure, continue as part of escalating measures threatening the Palestinian presence in the Jordan Valley.

**5. Government Media Office holds occupation responsible, citing evidence, for deaths of 21 Palestinians in the collapse of “Al-Saada Building”**

The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip stated that the “Al-Saada Building,” which recently collapsed, killing more than 21 people and injuring dozens of civilians, had previously been directly bombed by the Israeli occupation army during the first half of the war on Gaza, specifically on October 9, 2023, at around 5 p.m.

The Government Media Office explained that the Israeli occupation bombing at the time specifically targeted the building’s foundations and its first and second floors, causing severe and deliberate structural damage to its infrastructure and foundations. It asserted that this prior and concentrated bombing was the real and direct cause of the building’s complete collapse.

**6. “Biddu”: A Jerusalem-area town besieged by the occupation, deepening the suffering of 11,000 residents**

For years, the town of Biddu, northwest of occupied Jerusalem, has lived under the burden of military checkpoints and settlement activity. However, the Israeli occupation forces’ large-scale raid on the town has opened a new chapter of suffering, turning it into what resembles an isolated town, suffocated by the siege and attacks on residents’ homes and property, amid widespread fear and anxiety.

The town is located approximately 11 km northwest of occupied Jerusalem and 13 km southwest of Ramallah. It stands at an elevation of about 812 meters above sea level, while its total area is approximately 5,392 dunams, of which 493 dunams constitute the built-up area.

**7. Occupation authorities order evacuation of residential building containing 75 apartments in Salfit**

Israeli occupation authorities ordered the evacuation of a large residential building containing 75 apartments in the city of Salfit in the northern occupied West Bank, giving its residents only a few days to leave.

Local sources reported that occupation forces handed residents a notice ordering the evacuation of the building, which houses dozens of families, in preparation for measures against it. The order threatens to displace the dozens of families and households living in the building.

**8. Cuts to international aid threaten hundreds of thousands in Gaza, with warnings of serious health and humanitarian consequences**

The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip warned that cuts to international aid programs could exacerbate the humanitarian crisis, as hundreds of thousands are deprived of food and healthcare support declines, along with the fuel supplies needed to operate hospitals.

Ismail Al-Thawabta, Director-General of the Government Media Office, said in a press statement on Monday that the World Food Programme’s reduction in aid due to a funding shortage would deprive around 400,000 Palestinians of essential assistance.

Elif Eralp, a politician of Turkish origin and the Die Linke party’s candidate for mayor of Berlin, announced her intention to replicate the model and experience of Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani.

Eralp, who currently serves as a member of the Berlin House of Representatives, said that the rise of progressive, anti-colonial leadership represents the best response to the rise of the far right and the complicity of Western governments.

**11. Uruguay’s ruling coalition backs October 18 march in solidarity with Palestine**

Uruguay’s governing Broad Front coalition announced its full support for and sponsorship of a major popular march in solidarity with the Palestinian people, calling on President Yamandú Orsi’s government to step up its diplomatic efforts in international forums to stop the Israeli aggression.

The Palestine Coordination Committee in Uruguay called for the central march to be held in the capital, Montevideo, on October 8 under the slogan “Free Palestine or Barbarism.” Crowds will march toward Independence Square to denounce Israeli crimes.

German police officers in the capital Berlin forced a group of female activists to lower a modified Israeli occupation flag in which the “Star of David” had been replaced with the symbol of a military missile, in a visual statement highlighting what the activists described as the military and violent nature of the Israeli entity.

Security forces immediately intervened to surround the activists and prevent them from continuing their protest display, as part of what the text describes as systematic action by the German authorities against symbols and demonstrations denouncing the ongoing genocidal war in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

The Dublin-based Running for Palestine group organized a large solidarity running event in the Irish capital in support of the global “Stop the Match” campaign, protesting the continuation of sporting normalization activities with the Israeli entity.

Athletes and activists participating in the event expressed their categorical rejection of the decision by Ireland’s men’s national football team to proceed with its scheduled match against the occupation’s national team, describing the decision as unacceptable and difficult to justify amid the continuing genocidal war and systematic massacres against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

**14. Protest continues outside Irish AIB bank over call to cancel deal with Israeli cyber company**

The management of Irish bank AIB is facing an escalating campaign of pressure and street protests led by boycott movements, denouncing the bank’s continued refusal to disclose the status of its anticipated deal with Israeli cybersecurity company “SNYK.”

As part of the ongoing campaign, solidarity activists carried out a direct occupation of an AIB branch in Belfast, following a similar protest against an Apple store, rejecting any financing or contract that could contribute to supporting what they describe as a system of apartheid and ethnic cleansing against Palestinians, particularly as the deal has remained undisclosed for more than two months.

Activists and boycott groups gathered outside Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia as thousands of fans arrived for British singer Ed Sheeran’s concert, holding a protest against the ongoing genocidal war in the Gaza Strip.
