Local sources reported that Samih Dardouna was killed by Israeli occupation sniper fire in Jabalia refugee camp.
Meanwhile, local sources stated that the child Hani Abdullah Shakshak (8 years old) was killed inside a tent in the Al-Tawam area northwest of the Gaza Strip.
Local sources also reported that Israeli warplanes bombed a residential apartment in Nuseirat refugee camp, resulting in the deaths of Mohammad Ibrahim Abu Mallouh (38), his wife Alaa Majdi Zaqlan (36), and their child Osama (1 year old).

2. Dangerous spread of scabies in occupation prisons amid accusations of systematic medical crimes

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club warned of a “dangerous and accelerating” wave of scabies spreading inside occupation prisons, confirming the widening scope of infections in several central prisons while detainees are deprived of basic healthcare.
The organization stated that dozens of visits conducted by its lawyers to prisoners during April and May 2026 revealed “shocking levels of suffering and health deterioration” inside the prisons, warning of a “deliberate health catastrophe” worsening day by day.

Work on the film began in late 2023, when the production team contacted Dr. Tanya Haj Hassan, who shared testimonies and stories about doctors and paramedics who disappeared after being taken by Israeli occupation soldiers to unknown destinations inside the Gaza Strip, according to the film’s director Karim Shah.

4. Settlers cut down more than 40 olive trees east of Salfit

Settlers cut down more than 40 fruit-bearing olive trees east of the city of Salfit in the northern West Bank, in a new attack targeting citizens’ agricultural lands.
Local sources stated that a number of settlers from the pastoral outpost established in the “Wadi al-Shaer” area between Salfit and the town of Al-Lubban al-Sharqiya cut down more than 40 olive trees belonging to citizen Nashat Shtayyeh near Al-Zaytouna University.

19. Two sisters from Gaza win a global award for innovation in recycling rubble

The sisters, displaced with their family in Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, won first place in the “Earth Prize” competition, a global initiative focused on environmental sustainability and entrepreneurship for young people aged 13 to 19. Their team, “Building Hope,” became the first Palestinian team to reach this level in the competition’s history after competing against 6,095 teams from around the world.
