1. A Palestinian killed by Israeli army gunfire east of Deir al-Balah
A citizen was killed by Israeli forces’ gunfire east of the city of Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip.
Local sources reported the killing of citizen Muhannad Jamal Ghiyad by Israeli army gunfire east of Deir al-Balah.

This comes as Israel continues to violate the ceasefire agreement, despite the resistance factions agreeing several days ago to the plan proposed by the mediators for implementing its second phase.

2. Injuries caused by Israeli fire in the southern Gaza Strip
Israeli forces continued to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip by opening fire in various areas in the east and south of the Strip.
A local source reported that three citizens, including a woman, were injured by Israeli forces’ gunfire north of Hamad City, north of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.

3. New scandal: Israel used two elderly Palestinians as human shields before killing them
A recently leaked photograph revealed two elderly residents of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, blindfolded just hours before they were killed in November 2024. The incident sheds new light on the alleged use of Palestinian civilians as human shields by the Israeli army during its military operations.
The photograph showed Israeli soldiers standing between the two men in a scene taken hours before their deaths. According to testimonies and reports, the two men were detained and used as human bait before being killed.

4. Concerns for the life of doctor Hussam Abu Safiya in Israeli detention
The Director General of the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, Dr. Munir al-Barsh, warned of growing concerns for the life of doctor Hussam Abu Safiya, amid information that he had been assaulted while in detention and sustained injuries to his eye, head, and chest.
Al-Barsh stressed that the continued detention of Abu Safiya, together with the absence of an independent medical examination and the failure to provide the necessary healthcare, makes his health condition a matter of grave concern and requires urgent action rather than statements or delayed procedures.

5. Shortage of medicines threatens the lives of kidney patients in Gaza
Riyad Barbakh, head of the dialysis department at Nasser Medical Complex, warned of an imminent danger threatening the lives of kidney patients in the Gaza Strip due to shortages of medicines and medical supplies, stressing that dialysis sessions represent the direct dividing line between patients’ lives and death.
Barbakh confirmed that any further shortage of medicines and medical consumables, or any breakdown of the remaining equipment, puts the lives of hundreds of patients at risk and increases the likelihood of losing more of them.

6. Prisoners’ Club: Ben Gvir perpetuates the torture and slow killing of prisoners by banning visits
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club warned that the renewal of the order banning family visits to prisoners in Israeli prisons is intended to continue crimes of torture and starvation against prisoners and to reinforce the policy of isolating them from the outside world.
The organization explained that Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir’s announcement that the ban on visits would be renewed was not surprising, but rather an extension of a systematic policy aimed at imposing complete isolation on prisoners.

7. Injuries and attacks on ambulance crews in a settler attack south of Bethlehem
Several citizens, including paramedics, were injured following an attack by settlers on the village of Abu Nujeim, southeast of Bethlehem. The attack involved gunfire and assaults targeting ambulances and rescue teams.
Local sources reported that settlers stormed the village and fired live ammunition at citizens’ vehicles, injuring one citizen.

8. Sewage floods Gaza’s only outlet and turns it into an environmental and health hazard
Along the roughly 40-kilometer-long coastline of the Gaza Strip, the sea, which had long been the only outlet where hundreds of thousands of displaced people could escape the scorching heat of tents—where summer temperatures exceed 45°C—is no longer a safe space.
As the war continues and the sewage system collapses, the coastline has become an open dumping ground for untreated sewage, in an environmental and health catastrophe that worsens day after day and overwhelms the last remaining outlet for the people of the Strip.

9. Palestine Center: Ben Gvir escalates his aggression against prisoners
The Palestine Center for Prisoners Studies said that extremist Ben Gvir is escalating his aggression against Palestinian prisoners as the “Knesset” elections approach, renewing the order banning detainees from receiving visits in all forms, a ban that has been in place since October 2023.
Riyad al-Ashqar explained that extremist Ben Gvir had based his previous election campaign on promises to double the suffering of prisoners, strip them of all their rights, and crush their humanity. He also exploited the state of emergency following October 7 to fulfill promises to his voters by imposing unprecedented measures of abuse and torture against prisoners.

According to the statement, these measures led to the deaths of 90 prisoners whose identities are known, as well as dozens of others whose identities Israel is concealing, while prisoners are living in the worst living and legal conditions since 1967.

11. Demonstration in “Ashton” to strengthen protests against the occupation
Groups in Britain called for people to gather at the “Ashton” intersection to continue the popular movement condemning the war described as genocidal and demanding an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people.
The call came following a large protest gathering that saw broad participation from activists and supporters of Palestinian rights.

12. Israeli organization incites against teenager supporting Palestine at Mauthausen camp in Austria
The “Campaign Against Antisemitism” launched a broad campaign against a teenager who appeared in a video wearing a shirt bearing the Palestinian flag, the slogan “Free Palestine,” and an image of Palestinian figure Dalal Mughrabi, during a visit to the Mauthausen memorial site in Austria.
The pro-Israel organization used the incident to attack the global solidarity movement, describing the wearing of the shirt at the site of the former Nazi concentration camp as “morally unacceptable.” It also attempted to link opposition to Zionism with hostility toward Jews by labeling Palestinian national symbols as “terrorism.”

13. Two Irish teams refuse to face an Israeli team in the Ultimate World Championship
The Boycott movement welcomed the decision by the Irish teams “Ranelagh Ultimate” and “XVI Ultimate” to refuse to play against “New Gen Ultimate,” the team representing Israel, at the World Club Championship for “Ultimate,” the flying-disc sport, scheduled to take place in the Irish city of Limerick from August 15 to 22.
The decision comes in rejection of the sportswashing practiced by the World Flying Disc Federation through the participation of the Israeli federation for the sport, which is accused of supporting the war against the Palestinian people.

14. Investigation opened in the “Peak District” over songs opposing the occupation
The British Youth Hostel Association opened an official investigation after one of its sites in the Peak District National Park hosted a solidarity summer camp organized by an organization supporting the Palestinian cause over four days.
The educational summer camp saw broad participation by children and young people, who chanted slogans and songs calling for an end to the occupation and affirming the inevitability of victory over Zionism as a colonial ideology.

15. Trial of four activists targeting Israeli arms company fails
The British Bristol Crown Court failed to convict activists from the “ElbitHQ4” group after the jury was unable to reach a verdict on any criminal charges arising from their targeting of the headquarters of “Elbit Systems,” a company accused of supporting the occupation.
The trial followed a series of direct actions carried out by opponents of military support for Israel against the Israeli company’s manufacturing facilities and administrative offices in Britain, with the aim of disrupting the production and technologies of weapons and drones used in the war against the Palestinian people.

16. Israeli minister attacks Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and describes him as an enemy of Israel
Israel’s Minister for Diaspora Affairs, Amichai Chikli, attacked Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, describing him as “one of the most hostile heads of government toward Israel” on the European continent.
The remarks came following Sánchez’s expressions of solidarity with Palestinians. He responded to a Palestinian girl who addressed him in a video, recognized the Palestinian state, condemned Israeli crimes in Gaza, and defended footballer Lamine Yamal after he raised the Palestinian flag.

17. United Nations takes action against employee accused of spying for Israel
The United Nations confirmed that UNICEF is taking action against Yahav Lechner, director of its Washington office, after he was accused of providing confidential information to Israeli diplomats during his previous work at the United Nations Population Fund between 2014 and 2015.
The investigation, published by “Drop Site News,” is based on leaked emails, while reports indicated that Lechner had been placed on administrative leave.

According to the investigation, the information included unpublished drafts and details of closed-door meetings. Some of it allegedly contributed to Israeli activity in the U.S. Congress during Israel’s 2014 assault on Gaza, during which approximately 2,322 Palestinians were killed and another 11,000 were injured.

18. Ms. Rachel: How many lives are being deprived of education in Gaza?
American content creator and activist Rachel Accurso, known as “Ms. Rachel,” condemned the war described as genocidal and the ongoing violations against Palestinian children, denouncing their deprivation of the most basic necessities of life under Israeli attacks.
In a post, Ms. Rachel asked how many lives are being lost as a result of the interruption of medical care, malnutrition, and the deprivation of an entire generation of education, amid the continuing massacres that claimed the lives of 300 children during the period promoted as a truce or “ceasefire.”

19. Investigations opened at San Francisco and San Jose universities under pressure from pro-Israel lobbies
The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights announced on August 6 that it had opened a federal investigation into San Francisco State University (SFSU) and San Jose State University (SJSU), alleging that they had failed to adequately address “antisemitic harassment” and protect Jewish students on campus.
The measure comes in the context of a campaign led by the Trump administration against universities to criminalize activism in support of the Palestinian cause and opposition to the ongoing war in Gaza. The department has opened more than 60 similar investigations on the grounds of alleged violations of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act.
