1. Health: Two killed and 8 injured in Gaza over the past 24 hours

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that two people killed and eight injured arrived at hospitals across the Strip over the past 24 hours as a result of the Israeli aggression. In its daily statistical report, the ministry explained that one of the two victims was newly killed, while the body of the other was recovered from beneath the rubble.

2. Occupation authorities release 37 detainees from Gaza
The Israeli occupation authorities released 37 detainees from the Gaza Strip, including a woman. The 37 freed Palestinian prisoners arrived at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis for medical examinations, amid confirmation that their health conditions were difficult due to the abuse and torture they were subjected to in the occupation’s prisons.

3. Human rights body: We demand disclosure of the fate of Gaza detainees and investigations into occupation crimes
The Prisoners’ Media Office said that the Israeli occupation authorities’ announcement today, Sunday, of the death of prisoner Ihab Muhammad Abdel Qader Diab from the Gaza Strip, after concealing his fate for nearly two years, reveals the existence of unknown numbers of prisoners from the Strip who have died and whose fate the occupation authorities are concealing.

The office stressed that the case of prisoner Diab highlights the crime of enforced disappearance to which detainees from Gaza are subjected. It explained that the occupation authorities acknowledged his death in September 2024, despite his having been detained since December 2023, without informing his family of his fate or the circumstances of his death.

4. Settlement tender for the construction of 627 new housing units in Ramallah
The Israeli occupation authorities have issued a settlement construction tender for 627 new housing units in the “Kochav Yaakov” settlement, built on lands in the Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate, as part of the occupation’s accelerating plans to expand settlements in the occupied West Bank.

According to Hebrew-language media, the tender was issued to solicit bids from investment companies and contractors to carry out construction and development work.

5. Sheikh Akram Sabri warns against emptying neighborhoods surrounding Al-Aqsa Mosque in an attempt to isolate the mosque from its surrounding community
The preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque and head of the Islamic Higher Council in Jerusalem, Sheikh Akram Sabri, warned of the escalating Israeli settlement plans targeting the neighborhoods of Silwan, Batn al-Hawa, al-Bustan and Wadi Hilweh in occupied Jerusalem.

Sabri said in press statements that these plans constitute a rapidly expanding settlement belt aimed at emptying the immediate surroundings of Al-Aqsa Mosque and reshaping the area demographically and geographically by imposing a biblical settlement reality.

6. Israel acknowledges the death of Gaza prisoner Ihab Diab
The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs reported that the Israeli occupation authorities acknowledged the death of prisoner Ihab Muhammad Abdel Qader Diab, 36, from the Gaza Strip, who had been detained since December 12, 2023.

The commission explained that it had received a response from the Israeli prison administration confirming prisoner Diab’s death. The response stated that he had been suffering from a health condition, a claim denied by his family, which confirmed that he had been healthy at the time of his arrest and did not suffer from any illnesses. His date of death is believed to have been September 18, 2024.

7. Euro-Med Monitor: By besieging Gaza’s transportation system, Israel is pushing the Strip toward famine once again
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor warned that Israel continues to impose its illegal siege on the Gaza Strip and is deliberately paralyzing the transportation and shipping system by destroying trucks and warehouses belonging to transport companies, targeting and arresting drivers, and preventing the entry of replacement trucks, spare parts and necessary operating materials.

According to the organization, this is choking the delivery of food, medicine and aid from the crossings to the population and threatens to push the Gaza Strip back into famine.

Activists in the Austrian capital, Vienna, launched widespread calls to boycott and ban the match between Israeli club “Beitar Jerusalem” and “Austria Vienna,” scheduled for Thursday, August 13, at 6:30 p.m. at the “Generali Arena.”

The organizers described the Israeli club as “the most racist,” calling on the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) to immediately respond to international demands to expel the occupation’s sporting system and completely exclude it from all international competitions and tournaments.

12. Scottish educators reject accusations of anti-Israel activity in schools
The “Teachers for Peace” network in Scotland announced its categorical rejection of allegations made by “UK Lawyers for Israel” (UKLFI), affirming that it would continue teaching about the Palestinian issue and the war in Gaza based on evidence and international law.

The volunteer network issued its response after the pro-Israel organization circulated a 50-page dossier to the Scottish government and education authorities accusing teachers of promoting “anti-Israel” materials and teaching about the “Nakba.”

13. Protest outside Jeff Smith’s office in Manchester demanding an end to arming Israel and the genocide

14. “Ultra Intelligence” facility in Aberdeen stormed and military equipment for Israel destroyed
Activists from the “People Against Genocide” organization stormed a facility belonging to “Ultra Intelligence & Communications” in the Scottish city of Aberdeen, smashing its technical equipment and seizing documents after barricading themselves inside.

The targeted facility is described as a major and direct supplier to the Israeli military and to “Elbit Systems.” It provides them with encryption systems, secure battlefield communications, and surveillance and victim-tracking solutions using artificial intelligence, as well as spare parts for F-35 aircraft used in bombing Gaza.

15. #Video: Protest outside UBS bank over investments in genocide
The protest was held to denounce the role of financial institutions in supporting the occupation. Protesters also called on the bank’s executive management to halt all investments and financial flows linked to military industries and companies complicit in the ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip, amid growing international popular pressure campaigns aimed at economically isolating the occupation system.

16. Activist delivers message from inside a Burger King branch condemning the genocide

An activist posted a video on Instagram containing a direct message addressed to fast-food company “Burger King,” on behalf of activist “Ariana Hamilton,” as part of ongoing digital pressure campaigns against companies accused of complicity.

The message came within the context of global popular mobilization targeting international branches and companies supporting the occupation system. Activists called on the company’s management to end all forms of support or facilitation provided to the occupation.

17. Protests at 50 locations in Greece prompt Israeli Foreign Ministry to warn its citizens
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an urgent warning to its citizens in Greece, urging them to conceal their identity and Israeli symbols, coinciding with the launch of widespread protests across the country today, Sunday, against the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.

The protests, organized by the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement (BDS), the “March to Gaza” movement and the Palestinian community, include 36 demonstrations and sit-ins concentrated in the capital Athens and the city of Thessaloniki, and extend to major islands and tourist areas such as Rhodes, Crete and Mykonos.

18. Malaysia seizes military equipment bound for Elbit company at Tanjung Pelepas Port
Malaysian security authorities announced the seizure of a shipment containing specialized equipment for weapons manufacturing aboard the vessel “Berlin Maersk,” bound for “Elbit Systems Land,” a subsidiary of one of Israel’s largest weapons manufacturers.

The seizure took place at Tanjung Pelepas Port following alerts provided by the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement (BDS Malaysia) and the International Progress organization, based on information from the “No Harbour for Genocide” organization. The operation was described as being in line with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s decision in November 2023 to ban vessels bound for Israel from entering Malaysian ports.
