1. Child killed and others injured as Israeli violations of the Gaza ceasefire resume

Israeli occupation forces continued to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip through artillery shelling and gunfire targeting various areas in the eastern and southern parts of the Strip.

A medical source reported the death of 13-year-old Saba Naim Abdullah Al-Hashash, who succumbed to injuries sustained the previous day from Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire in the Al-Iqlimi area of Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis.

2. Euro-Mediterranean Monitor refutes Israel’s narrative regarding famine in Gaza
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said that Israel continues to distort facts in an attempt to absolve itself of responsibility for the crime of starving civilians in the Gaza Strip, through the selective and misleading use of data issued by UNICEF’s Nutrition Cluster for 2026, with the aim of denying the indicators of famine announced by the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) in 2025.

The Monitor explained that the 0.5% figure promoted by Israel is based exclusively on the “weight-for-height” indicator used to measure acute malnutrition, while ignoring other, more comprehensive indicators. Data based on “mid-upper arm circumference” show a rate of 1.3%, which is also the rate obtained when the two indicators are considered together. According to the Monitor, this reflects a deliberate attempt to obscure the full findings and promote the lower figure as the study’s final result.

3. Calls for temporary caravans to be brought into Gaza to protect women, children and the elderly
Legal and housing experts called for the immediate authorization of caravans and temporary shelter units to enter the Gaza Strip, ensuring that they reach those in need without discrimination.

They stressed that priority should be given to women-headed households, pregnant and breastfeeding women, children, the elderly, people with disabilities, and the most vulnerable groups.

The calls came during a specialized workshop organized by Gaza’s Ministry of Women’s Affairs to highlight the humanitarian situation and the importance and necessity of facilitating the entry of temporary shelter units (“caravans”) to protect women in the Gaza Strip, in light of the rules and provisions of international law.

4. Rights center: Occupation continues to kill prisoners inside its prisons and conceals the fate of dozens
The Palestinian Prisoners Studies Center confirmed that the Israeli occupation continues to kill Palestinian prisoners inside its prisons, despite the deaths of dozens of prisoners over the past three years.

The Center said that the occupation has killed 91 prisoners whose identities have been made public, while the fate of dozens of others from the Gaza Strip remains concealed. Some of them are believed to have died during the first months of the war.

5. Occupation forces Palestinian man to demolish his shop in Tulkarm
Israeli occupation authorities forced a Palestinian citizen to dismantle and demolish his commercial shop in Izbat Shoufa, southeast of Tulkarm, in the occupied West Bank.

Local sources reported that occupation forces forced Abdel Fattah Abu Bakr to vacate and dismantle his shop, which was his only source of livelihood, in Izbat Shoufa, southeast of Tulkarm.

6. Gaza doctor: War conditions have doubled the risks of pregnancy and miscarriage
Iyad Abu Hasira, head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Al-Helo Hospital, said that pregnant women in the Gaza Strip faced numerous difficulties during the war amid repeated displacement, the destruction of homes, and the collapse of primary healthcare services as a result of the destruction affecting hospitals and medical facilities.

Abu Hasira explained that during and after the war, pregnant women lived in places unfit for habitation, including tents lacking running water and electricity. He noted that they were also forced to perform strenuous tasks, such as lifting water containers and carrying them from one place to another, putting the lives of their fetuses at risk.

7. Settlers establish an outpost, attack school principal and threaten him with death in the West Bank
Settler forces continued their attacks on Palestinian civilians and their lands in various areas of the occupied West Bank by establishing a new settlement outpost and attacking a school principal.

Settlers began establishing a new settlement outpost east of Ramallah. Local sources reported that settlers began constructing the new outpost on land belonging to the village of Al-Mazra’a Al-Sharqiya, east of Ramallah, under the protection of occupation forces.

8. UN experts warn of dangerous escalation of violence against civilians in the West Bank

United Nations experts strongly condemned the escalation of attacks targeting civilians in the occupied Palestinian territories over the past month, warning of a serious deterioration in the humanitarian and security situation, particularly in the West Bank.

In a statement, the experts condemned the killing of at least 14 Palestinians in the West Bank during the recent period, noting that these figures reflect an increasingly prevalent pattern of violence targeting the civilian population.

9. Hind Rajab Foundation calls on Vietnamese government to arrest Israeli soldier
The Hind Rajab Foundation filed an official complaint with the Vietnamese authorities against Israeli reserve soldier Matan Gviravi, who is currently in Vietnam, calling for an investigation and his arrest on charges of participating in war crimes and genocide.

The foundation, which is based in Belgium, explained that Gviravi belongs to the 920th Infantry Battalion of the Israeli occupation army and simultaneously holds a senior administrative position in the far-right Zionist organization “Im Tirtzu.”

10. Expected mobilization in Manchester to demand an end to arms exports and support activists
The city of Manchester is preparing to host solidarity events on Saturday and Sunday, August 15 and 16, organized by a popular movement calling for an end to military supplies and expressing support for activists facing legal proceedings.

The Greek capital Athens witnessed a large popular march attended by hundreds of people to condemn the genocidal war and demand an immediate end to all forms of military and diplomatic cooperation with Israel.

The demonstrators marched from Monastiraki Square to the historic Syntagma Square, chanting slogans calling for freedom for Palestine and rejecting partnership with the apartheid regime and the occupation.

14. Police arrest activists after they shut down weapons-supplying facility in Scotland
Scottish police announced the arrest of two activists from the organization “People Against Genocide” following an operation that lasted more than seven hours and resulted in the destruction and closure of a facility belonging to Ultra Intelligence & Communications (I&C) in Aberdeen.

The arrests came after the activists succeeded in damaging sensitive military equipment inside the facility, which produces and supplies encryption and surveillance systems to Elbit Systems.

The “Canary Mission” platform launched an incitement campaign targeting education officials appointed by progressive politician Zohran Mamdani, in an attempt to exert economic pressure to influence New York City’s $45 billion education budget.

The report focused on figures such as Lucas Kohler and Raisa Rodriguez, criticizing their calls to withdraw funding from the New York Police Department and redirect budgets toward social services and education.

16. Campaign to boycott the American Medical Association gains momentum over alleged complicity in genocide
A broad union-backed campaign in the United States has gained increasing momentum, calling on doctors and healthcare workers to immediately resign from the American Medical Association and stop paying membership dues.

The move comes in protest against what organizers describe as the Association’s complicit position and its silence over Israel’s ongoing genocidal war in the Gaza Strip, as well as its failure to take action to save detained Palestinian medical personnel.

17. Israel urges its citizens in Greece to conceal their identities amid pro-Palestinian protests
Israel’s Foreign Ministry warned its citizens in Greece against displaying their Israeli or Jewish identity, as dozens of Greek cities prepare to host large-scale protests against the Israeli occupation amid the war in Gaza.

In a travel advisory, the ministry said that pro-Palestinian organizations intend to organize a “Day of Rage” at 36 locations across Greece, some of them in areas frequented by Israeli tourists.

The Foreign Ministry urged Israelis to exercise caution, stay away from protest sites and large gatherings, avoid confrontation with demonstrators, and refrain from displaying symbols indicating an Israeli or Jewish identity. It also recommended avoiding the direct publication of one’s geographical location on social media.
