**2. The Islamic University of Gaza returns students to classrooms after two years of genocide**
After two years of forced interruption due to the Israeli war of extermination that destroyed the educational infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, the “Islamic University” began the first steps toward a gradual return to in-person education inside buildings that were bombed, parts of which turned into rubble.
Among damaged walls partially restored, hundreds of students returned to lecture halls in a scene reflecting the determination of Gazans to revive life and education despite the devastation of the war.
The Islamic University resumed in-person classes after the two-year interruption, during which limited attempts at online education took place amid displacement, power cuts, and the destruction of university buildings.

The Spanish Radio and Television Corporation announced that “Spain supports excluding Israel from the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest.”
The head of the broadcaster, José Pablo López, strongly criticized the European Broadcasting Union and its proposed changes to voting rules, saying the changes are “insufficient.”
He argued before the Spanish parliament: “Israel has used the festival for political purposes and tried to influence the results without being punished, at least during the last two years in which I attended the festival. Any other country would have been sanctioned and had its membership suspended.”

Activists from various groups, including the BDS movement, organized a protest in the Spanish capital against the company “Carrefour,” condemning its complicity with the occupation and participation in the genocide against the unarmed Palestinian people.
Participants pointed out that Carrefour operates more than 50 stores inside “Israel,” distributes free products to Israeli soldiers, sells items manufactured in “Israel,” and forms alliances with Zionist companies that support occupation crimes, including “Electra,” “Yenot Bitan,” and the bank “Hapoalim.”
The activists concluded their protest by calling for a boycott of the company, noting that continuing to shop at “Carrefour” directly contributes to supporting the Zionist killing machine.

**10. French prosecutors call for investigation into the killing of two French children in Gaza by Israeli forces**
The French National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office requested the opening of an investigation into “war crimes” following the killing of two children holding French nationality in Gaza.
Israeli forces killed Jana Abu Daher (6 years old) and Abdul-Rahim Abu Daher (9 years old) in a bombing on October 24, 2023.
According to the complaint, the family had taken shelter in a house in northern Gaza to escape the bombing before two missiles hit it — one of them striking the bedroom directly. Abdul-Rahim was killed instantly, while Jana died later. Their younger brother Omar and their mother Yasmin were seriously injured.
The children’s grandmother, Jacqueline Revault, filed a lawsuit accusing “Israel” of “murder” and “genocide,” with the Human Rights League joining as a civil party.
After three months, the prosecutor requested that an investigation be opened “against persons unknown” for war crimes, citing a deliberate attack on civilians and targeting of property that is not a military objective. The family’s lawyer said the decision is “an important step.”

The world has commemorated this day since the United Nations adopted it in 1977 as an international occasion to express support for Palestinian rights, foremost among them the right to self-determination, national independence and sovereignty, and the return of refugees to the homes from which they were expelled in 1948.
