2. Shocking testimonies about the suffering of Dr. Abu Safiya in occupation prisons
When the released prisoner Ahmad Qadas saw Dr. Hossam Abu Safiya inside the prison, he did not recognize him immediately; where was that exhausted body and faint voice compared to the man whose presence used to fill the place, who appeared on local and international television screens and whose charisma resembled that of statesmen?
A shocking contrast that summarizes what Israeli occupation torture can do to men’s bodies: it does not only change them but goes further toward “assassinating identity” and erasing features. The occupation army arrested Dr. Abu Safiya on December 27, 2024, when it stormed Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza.
