Sources from the Islamic Waqf Department in occupied Jerusalem reported that a group of settlers stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in what was described as a dangerous precedent.
The Waqf stated that the settlers assaulted two mosque guards before managing to force their way inside. It added that the incursion took place through Al-Ghawanmeh Gate, where nine settlers reached the courtyards of Al-Qibli Mosque carrying plant offerings.

4. Gaza Municipality warns of an imminent environmental disaster at Sheikh Radwan pond

The Gaza Municipality issued an urgent warning about the risk of overflow at the rainwater collection pond in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood north of the city, amid severe deterioration of sewage infrastructure and the inability of crews to operate vital facilities due to shortages of fuel, spare parts, and essential supplies.
Gaza Municipality spokesperson Hosni Mhanna stated in press remarks that the Sheikh Radwan pond covers more than 80 dunams and reaches a depth of around seven and a half meters, but is currently filled with approximately three and a half meters of wastewater and sewage.

5. 965 violations by the occupation and settlers in the West Bank in one week

The Palestine Information Center “Mu‘ta” documented 965 violations committed by Israeli occupation forces and settlers in the West Bank between May 15 and May 21, 2026, amid continued escalation targeting Palestinians, their property, and holy sites.
The center explained in a statistical report that the violations resulted in the killing of three Palestinians and the injury of 40 others, in addition to 104 arrests and detentions carried out during ongoing raids and incursions into West Bank towns and cities.

14. 29 European lawmakers call for sanctions against war criminal Ben Gvir

This was revealed in a poll conducted by “The New York Times” in cooperation with the Siena Research Institute.
The results showed that 60% of respondents expressed sympathy with Palestinians, including 41% who said their sympathy was “strong,” compared to only 15% who sympathized with Israel.
Around 90% of respondents also rejected former President Donald Trump’s handling of the Palestinian issue.

The Hebrew newspaper “Haaretz” reported sharp contradictions between attempts by Israeli officials to distance themselves from footage showing the humiliation of “Resilience Flotilla” activists and the prison authority’s role in the degrading measures, after National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir documented activists forced to kneel with their heads bowed.
While Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar rushed to salvage Israel’s image, the prison authority stated that its personnel “had to act to maintain order and security,” claiming that some detainees appearing in the footage were not under its responsibility.
