1. Ministry of Health: 8 killed and 26 injured in Gaza in the past 24 hours
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that 8 people were killed and 26 injured during the past 24 hours as a result of the ongoing Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry stated that ambulance crews and Civil Defense teams are facing major difficulties in recovering the wounded and victims due to the continued bombardment and the dangerous conditions on the ground, indicating that the actual toll is likely to rise as search operations continue.
2. Ben Gvir enters Silwan accompanied by settlers under heavy Israeli security
Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir entered the town of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, accompanied by a group of settlers under heavy protection provided by Israeli occupation forces, which secured the incursion.
Jerusalem sources reported that Israeli forces closed the roads leading to Bab al-Asbat and the Ras al-Amud neighborhood in Silwan while settlers entered the nearby Islamic cemetery.
3. Jabalia Municipality issues urgent appeal to save the water system from collapse
Jabalia al-Nazla Municipality, in the northern Gaza Strip, has issued an urgent appeal to international organizations, humanitarian agencies, and local and international partners, calling for immediate intervention to save the municipality’s water system amid a worsening operational crisis that threatens to deprive thousands of residents of access to water.
The municipality warned that the continued electricity outage and depletion of operational energy sources could lead to an imminent health and environmental disaster after both the main and secondary wells ceased operating, threatening a complete water shutdown across all neighborhoods of Jabalia.
4. Widespread settler escalation across the West Bank
During the past 24 hours, Israeli settlers launched a new wave of attacks across various areas of the occupied West Bank, targeting Islamic holy sites, homes, private property, and agricultural land, while simultaneously taking steps aimed at expanding settlements and creating new facts on the ground.
In occupied Jerusalem, settlers entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and performed Talmudic rituals inside its courtyards. Others began laying a water pipeline near Palestinian homes and agricultural facilities in the Al-Mahtoush Bedouin community east of the city.
In the Nablus Governorate, settlers attacked a home in the Al-Harayiq area of Beita, carried out provocative tours in the Beit Furik plain, and surrounded a house in Qusra in an attempt to storm it.
In the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, settlers assaulted Palestinian residents in the Marj Si’ area between the villages of Al-Mughayyir and Abu Falah before Israeli forces detained several Palestinians at the same location.
5. Israeli forces conduct arrest campaign alongside settler attacks in the West Bank
Israeli occupation forces and settlers carried out a broad series of raids and attacks across multiple areas of the West Bank, including home raids, closures of commercial shops, vehicle confiscations, and attacks by settlers against Palestinian homes and farmland.
The operations were concentrated in Nablus, Hebron, Jenin, Tulkarm, Ramallah, Bethlehem, Qalqilya, and Tubas, amid an ongoing escalation targeting Palestinians and their property.
In Ramallah, Israeli forces arrested a young man from Beitunia while simultaneously raiding several towns and villages across the governorate.
6. 92 Palestinian detainees have died since the war began; Israel holds the bodies of 100 prisoners
Researcher specializing in prisoners’ affairs Abdel Nasser Farawna stated that torture resulting in death and deliberate killings of Palestinian detainees inside Israeli prisons and detention camps are no longer isolated incidents but have escalated dramatically since October 7, 2023, becoming a systematic policy and an integral part of the ongoing war.
Farawna revealed that 92 Palestinian detainees have died in Israeli custody since the beginning of the war, the latest being Majdi Abu Arra from Tubas Governorate.
He added that Israel is currently withholding the bodies of approximately 100 identified prisoners and detainees who died in Israeli prisons, with estimates suggesting that the bodies of additional deceased prisoners remain undisclosed.
7. Israeli court postpones trial of imprisoned minor Nada Bani Odeh, denying her the opportunity to complete high school
An Israeli court postponed the trial of 17-year-old Palestinian detainee Nada Iyad Bani Odeh until next August, while keeping her imprisoned under harsh conditions.
Her detention prevented her from taking this year’s General Secondary Education Examination (Tawjihi), depriving her of her right to education and adding her to the growing number of imprisoned Palestinian students unable to continue their studies.
