1. One killed from wounds; artillery shelling and gunfire in eastern Gaza Strip
A Palestinian succumbed to wounds sustained days earlier as the Israeli army targeted eastern areas of the Gaza Strip with artillery shelling amid continuous gunfire, in what were described as ongoing and escalating ceasefire violations. Local sources identified the victim as Mohammad Bassam Mushtaha, who had been injured in Gaza City several days ago.

2. Doctor Abu Safiya’s health deteriorates after repeated assaults inside Israeli prisons
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Information Office announced that imprisoned physician Hossam Abu Safiya is facing extremely difficult health and humanitarian conditions inside Rakevet Prison following repeated assaults that caused rib fractures and worsened his condition.

According to the office, on July 27 Abu Safiya endured what it described as the most severe assault since his arrest. Prisoners were reportedly beaten with batons, subjected to electric shocks, exposed to tear gas and rubber bullets, and attacked by police dogs.

3. War causes unprecedented destruction in Gaza’s poultry sector
Gaza’s Ministry of Agriculture stated that the poultry sector suffered widespread devastation during the war. Of approximately 2,400 poultry farms, most sustained extensive damage, with some categories reaching 100% destruction.

Broiler chicken farms, both closed and open facilities, were the hardest hit. Closed farms suffered complete destruction with losses estimated at $10.8 million, while open farms sustained 95% damage, with losses estimated at $11.6 million.

4. Israeli forces demolish three homes in Bethlehem and one in the Galilee
Israeli forces began large-scale demolition operations in Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank. Accompanied by military vehicles and bulldozers, they entered the Qarnat al-Da’mas area in the town of Nahalin, west of Bethlehem, and demolished two inhabited homes, citing lack of building permits.

5. Israeli forces arrest 13 Palestinians, demolish a school, while settlers carry out attacks in the West Bank
Israeli forces conducted raids and arrests across the occupied West Bank, while Israeli settlers allegedly carried out attacks that included burning Palestinian vehicles and assaulting homes. Israeli authorities also demolished a school south of Hebron.

Local sources reported that 13 Palestinians were arrested across several governorates. In Bethlehem, one person was arrested during a raid on the Solomon’s Pools tourist area between the town of Al-Khader and the village of Artas. In Ramallah, Tariq Mohammad Hashem Qunna was arrested during a raid on the village of Umm Safa.

During a pro-Gaza demonstration in Berlin, a German police officer retrieved a Palestinian flag after it became caught on a bicycle and nearly touched the ground, before returning it to the demonstrators.

10. Paris Institute of Political Studies accused of monitoring pro-Palestinian students
French investigative outlet Mediapart reported that the administration of Sciences Po Paris employed extensive surveillance measures against student activists opposing Israel’s war in Gaza.

According to the report, based on internal documents, at least 48 students have faced disciplinary investigations since 2024, while 13 others were temporarily barred from entering the university.

11. Irish doctor supports boycott of national team’s matches against Israel
Dr. Margaret Connolly, sister of a trade union leader and former Israeli detainee, announced her full support for a campaign calling for a boycott of Ireland’s football matches against Israel in the upcoming UEFA Nations League.
