1. Two killed and several injured as Israeli shelling and violations of the truce in Gaza continue

Israeli violations of the truce and ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip have continued, with ongoing gunfire, artillery shelling, and attacks targeting border areas, alongside the demolition of buildings and facilities in several areas, resulting in Palestinian civilians being injured. Two civilians were killed and others injured as a result of attacks by Israeli forces on areas in central Gaza.

### 2\. Israeli forces demolish Jinba village in Hebron and displace 176 people as part of the annexation process in the West Bank

Israeli forces demolished 22 homes and housing units, along with 15 sheep-raising structures and residential, agricultural, and service facilities in the village of Jinba, in the far southeast of Yatta, southern Hebron Governorate. The demolitions displaced 26 families comprising 176 people, including children and women, who account for around 70% of those affected, depriving them of their homes, sources of livelihood, and basic necessities of life.

### 3\. Israeli military orders expand across the West Bank: 53 orders target 2,287 dunams in 2026

The Israeli authorities issued a new military order targeting lands belonging to the village of Deir Nidham, northwest of Ramallah, in a move that threatens dozens of dunams of agricultural land, olive trees, and vegetation in the area.

According to the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the order is numbered (104/26) and covers 94.79 dunams of village land located within basins No. 3 and No. 4, in the Wadi al-Hamata area.

### 4\. #InPictures… Not even the body was spared: Israeli forces strike a martyr for the second time

Israeli forces targeted a vehicle transporting the body of martyr Jabr Muqbil near the American port in the Sheikh Ajleen neighborhood, south of Gaza City. The attack left several of his relatives critically injured and his body completely burned.

Local sources reported that the martyr’s family had managed to transport his body from the Deir al-Balah area in central Gaza toward Gaza City, with the aim of burying him, before Israeli forces struck the vehicle again upon its arrival in the city.

### 5\. Gaza Civil Defense warns of the consequences of its vehicles being out of service during winter

The General Directorate of Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip appealed to countries around the world and to humanitarian and international organizations to take serious action and intervene to pressure the Israeli authorities to allow the provision of oils, tires, and batteries needed to operate and maintain vehicles and equipment used for humanitarian interventions.

The directorate said in a statement that several of its humanitarian vehicles have stopped operating and that there is a severe shortage of such supplies in local markets.

### 6\. Pulling the final plug: Gaza’s field and community hospitals teeter on the brink of total darkness

Field hospitals in the Gaza Strip represent the last line of defense for the lives of millions of civilians, after the government and central healthcare system suffered extensive destruction and near-total paralysis over years of war and blockade.

However, these field facilities, built as an emergency alternative to receive thousands of wounded and sick people, are now facing the risk of total collapse following the World Health Organization’s decision to halt diesel and fuel supplies to more than 20 hospitals and healthcare facilities in the Strip since September 19, due to a lack of funding.

### 9\. Irish prime minister defends national team coach after Israeli football association attack

Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin announced his support for Ireland’s national football team coach, Heimir Hallgrímsson, after the latter came under attack from the Israeli Football Association over comments he made regarding the war in Gaza.

The Israeli association had described Hallgrímsson as “stupid, ignorant and hypocritical” after he said, ahead of the two upcoming matches between Ireland and “Israel” in the UEFA Nations League: “We are not playing with genocide, we are playing against it. We are playing against Israel, not with Israel.”

### 10\. Norway calls for review of Israel’s participation in Europe’s biggest song contest

Norway’s public broadcaster sent an official letter to the European Broadcasting Union expressing deep concern that Israel’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest was threatening the integrity of the competition and turning voting from an artistic criterion into a political referendum.

Jostein Olseng, the broadcaster’s director of entertainment, said that the Norwegian broadcaster was calling on the European Broadcasting Union to apply the rules to all countries without exception, as was done when Russia was excluded following its war with Ukraine.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez launched sharp criticism at Israel over its war on the Gaza Strip, accusing Benjamin Netanyahu’s government of continuing to commit genocide and calling for adherence to international law and a stronger role for the United Nations and international judicial institutions.

During his speech before the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Sánchez said his government unequivocally condemned what he described as the ongoing genocide in Gaza, while also criticizing what he considered a double standard in the international response to wars and crises.

The Global Sumud Flotilla group, in cooperation with the Gulf Sumud Flotilla, called on activists, labor unions, and anti-arms organizations to participate in an organizational meeting in the Italian city of Genoa on October 3, 2026, with the aim of building a unified front and strengthening coordination in opposition to war and the militarization of ports.

The meeting comes as part of preparations for a broad movement organized by dockworkers in more than 40 ports and logistics centers across Europe and the Mediterranean region, as they prepare to risk everything to prevent arms shipments on October 30.

The movement called for a meeting to organize activities for a “Month of Action Against Arming Israel,” as part of a campaign aimed at stopping the Israeli war machine during the month of October.

Speakers from different political, trade-union, and human-rights backgrounds will participate in the meeting, including French-Lebanese content creator and comedian Raphael Abdel Nour, along with representatives of associations and groups supporting Palestine, such as the French-Palestinian Solidarity Association, the “Palestine Emergency” group, and the “Stop Arming Israel – France” campaign.

### 14\. Sit-in at the entrance of the Brooklyn Navy Yard protesting arms exports to Israel

Activists from the “Disarm the Brooklyn Navy Yard” campaign held a sit-in called “Sleeping Dragon” at the main entrance of the industrial complex owned by the City of New York, protesting the continued presence of companies manufacturing weapons and tactical equipment inside the yard.

The campaign, launched in September 2024, aims to disrupt military supply chains between the United States and Israel. It focuses on two specific companies: “Easy Aerial,” a manufacturer of drones used by Israeli forces, and “Crye Precision,” which produces tactical uniforms for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and Border Patrol personnel and supplies equipment to Israeli companies.

### 15\. US protest outside medical forum calls for removal of arms company CEO who publicly boasts of supporting Israel

Anti-arms groups, including “Boston BDS,” “Healthcare Workers for Palestine,” and the “American Friends Service Committee Staff Union,” protested outside the “Global Medical Innovation Forum” organized by Mass General Brigham, demanding the removal of James Taiclet, CEO of Lockheed Martin, from the hospital’s board of trustees.

The groups held a banner reading “Nurses In, Lockheed Out” during a protest outside the forum, which brings together leading figures from the medical sector. They condemned the presence on the board of one of the world’s most prestigious healthcare institutions of the head of a company that manufactures weapons that, according to the protesters, are used in the conflict.

### 16\. Protests outside the Israeli ambassador’s residence in New York as Netanyahu arrives

The Palestinian Youth Movement in New York called for a protest outside the residence of Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, as part of “Week of Action” events coinciding with the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly.

The group rejected Israel’s participation in UN meetings while what it described as genocide in Gaza continues. It said that more than 1,300 Palestinians had been killed since the beginning of what it called the “ceasefire,” and that the agreement had amounted to nothing more than continued Israeli impunity.

### 17\. US bill seeks to sanction participants in the Judaization of Jerusalem and the linking of settlements

Chris Coons, Elizabeth Warren, Ron Wyden, and Ruben Gallego introduced a bill imposing sanctions on companies, individuals, and foreign entities involved in implementing the E1 settlement project in the occupied West Bank, with the support of at least ten additional Democratic lawmakers.

The bill states that merely submitting bids to participate in tenders for the E1 project could constitute grounds for sanctions, along with construction, financing, organizational activities, and facilitating the transfer of settlers to the project.

### 18\. Washington pours billions of dollars in weapons into Israel: major deals and two-ton bombs

Notifications from US President Donald Trump’s administration to Congress and data from the US State Department revealed the continued flow of arms and military equipment deals to Israel at an accelerating pace since Trump returned to the White House on January 20, 2025.

According to an accounting of announced deals through September 17, 2026, their value amounted to approximately $19.2 billion, before taking into account a new $2.8 billion deal currently being prepared.

### 19\. Seven Israeli arms companies participating in the Marrakech Air Show

The boycott movement announced the confirmed participation of six additional Israeli companies in the Marrakech Air Show, scheduled to begin on October 7.

The companies will join Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), which had announced its participation earlier, bringing the number of Israeli defense companies participating to seven, including Elbit Systems, Rafael, Extend, Ofek, and Orbit Technologies.

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) is the largest Israeli defense company and supplies the Israeli Ministry of Defense with strategic air-defense systems that form the upper and middle layers of Israel’s multilayered air-defense system.
