### 2. Meningitis strikes Gaza again amid displacement and the collapse of the healthcare system
Mothers’ concerns are mounting inside the isolation and monitoring wards of the Abdul Aziz al-Rantisi Children’s Hospital in Gaza City, as cases of meningitis among their children continue to rise. They are closely monitoring their children’s health conditions amid fears of complications that could threaten their lives.
Beside their children’s hospital beds, mothers anxiously await test results and monitor their responses to treatment. They are also overwhelmed by a sense of helplessness in the face of the harsh conditions surrounding their families in displacement camps: deteriorating tents, sewage water, garbage, and malnutrition.
These conditions create an environment where the dangers of disease, hunger, and pollution overlap, turning even the most basic necessities of life into difficult-to-obtain resources and making it increasingly challenging to protect children from infection.

### 5. “Bir al-Maskub”: Bedouin community where Israel has demolished half the buildings in preparation for implementing the “E1” plan
For the Jahalin family, who live in the Bir al-Maskub Bedouin community east of occupied Jerusalem, their homes are much more than walls and roofs. They represent decades of life and memories, providing shelter that successive generations have called home.
The family remains determined to stay despite restrictions, threats, and repeated attempts to forcibly displace them.
Its members face daily hardship amid continued attacks and threats by Israeli occupation forces and settlers, which target their presence and stability in homes they have inhabited for nearly three decades. Some of these houses date back to 1995 and 1996.

### 21. Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor: Israel is using winter as a weapon against Gaza’s population
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor has stated that Israel continues, for the fourth consecutive year, to deprive Palestinians in the Gaza Strip of the basic conditions needed for safe shelter.
Approximately two million people require shelter assistance after most homes across the Strip were destroyed or damaged and their residents forcibly displaced.
Israel also continues to prevent displaced Palestinians from returning to areas still under its control and obstructs the entry of materials needed to provide shelter and repair damaged homes.
As a result, hundreds of thousands of families are being forced to face another winter in dilapidated tents and damaged buildings at risk of collapse.
The organisation condemns the use of winter as yet another instrument of suffering and pressure against the Palestinian population of Gaza.
