1. Two martyrs, including a child, and several wounded in an occupation strike on a car west of Gaza City

Two citizens, including a child, were killed and others were wounded as a result of an Israeli occupation airstrike on Gaza City.

Local sources reported that occupation aircraft targeted a car near the Hamid intersection, west of Gaza City, killing two citizens, including a child, and wounding others, who were transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital for treatment.

According to sources, the two victims were citizen Yousef Aqila and the child Wafaa Yousef Aqila.

2. Gaza buries 100 martyrs whose bodies were recovered from beneath the rubble

It was not an ordinary funeral that took place in Gaza City, as Palestinians carried the bodies of around 100 martyrs recovered from beneath the rubble of homes and buildings destroyed by the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

Among the coffins were the stories of families who had waited a long time to recover the bodies of their loved ones, while the funeral ceremony seemed like a belated encounter with victims whose whereabouts had remained unknown beneath the rubble.

3. Education in Gaza enters its fourth year under genocide: rights group calls for international intervention to stop the destruction of knowledge

The Gaza Center for Human Rights warned of the continued collapse of the education system in the Gaza Strip for the fourth consecutive year, stressing that the widespread destruction affecting schools, students, teachers, and educational facilities has turned the right to education into one of the most prominent victims of the ongoing genocide in the Strip.

The Center said that the approaching start of the new academic year comes amid the absence of the conditions necessary for safe and regular education for hundreds of thousands of children, after years of attacks, destruction, and displacement.

It considered that what is happening goes beyond a temporary disruption of schooling and amounts to the systematic destruction of society’s ability to produce knowledge and pass it on to new generations.

4. Ben-Gvir’s statements on migration reveal an actual policy aimed at displacing Palestinians

Israeli affairs specialist Firas Yaghi said that the statements by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir regarding encouraging residents of the Gaza Strip to emigrate cannot be treated as mere election propaganda.

He considered them, in his assessment, a reflection of an ideological orientation and a future plan to implement a policy of displacing Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

Ben-Gvir had said that “encouraging migration is the real and only solution,” whether to confront what he described as “terrorism in the Gaza Strip” or to provide a better life for residents who wish to emigrate.

He also announced that, during the next term, he would work to establish a government ministry for migration with its own powers and budget, to be headed by his party, “Otzma Yehudit” (“Jewish Power”).

5. “Mishmar Yehuda”: from a settlement outpost to a major city consolidating control over Jerusalem and deepening its separation

In a new step aimed at strengthening its settlement plans in occupied Jerusalem and its surrounding areas, Israel continues to impose new realities on the ground by confiscating Palestinian land and converting it into what are called “state lands,” thereby consolidating control over the eastern part of the city and limiting Palestinians’ ability to expand urban development.

The threat posed by land confiscation in the holy city is growing alongside successive settlement plans, threatening the remaining open areas, tightening restrictions on residents, and paving the way for the establishment of a continuous settlement belt east of the city.

6. Occupation forces raid two schools in the West Bank and threaten administrators over the Palestinian flag

Occupation forces raided the Burqa and Huwwara schools in the occupied West Bank on the first day of the school year and threatened the administration of the latter school with removing the Palestinian flag.

7. Kites launched in the Netherlands in solidarity with Gaza’s children

Watch: Kites bearing the colors and symbols of the Palestinian flag were launched in 11 Dutch cities in solidarity with Gaza’s children, who have been deprived of the opportunity to fly them after threats by the Israeli army to target and displace anyone who launches one into the skies over the Strip.

8. Germany grants citizenship to former Israeli soldier who called for the execution of Palestinian prisoners

Former Israeli occupation army soldier Rom Braslavsky announced that he had obtained German citizenship, despite previous statements in which he called for Palestinian prisoners to be hanged by his own hands.

Braslavsky said through his Instagram account that he had obtained German citizenship, expressing pride that his father was German and claiming that his period of captivity in the Gaza Strip “had been beneficial to him.”

Braslavsky was among the last Israeli soldiers held captive in Gaza to be released in October 2025, following the ceasefire reached as part of U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan.

9. Protests seek to force AIB bank to cancel deal with Israeli company

Activists and customers of Allied Irish Banks (AIB) gathered in the city of Dungannon to protest the bank’s intention to sign a €1.2 million technology deal with Israeli cybersecurity company “SNYK.”

The protests came amid widespread threats from grassroots movements to boycott the bank and permanently close their bank accounts.

The demonstration is part of ongoing protests at the bank’s branches across Ireland, aimed at pressuring management and preventing it from granting the company access to Irish customers’ data.

10. British singer condemns his visits to the West Bank and describes occupation practices as horrific

Famous British singer and songwriter and Pink Floyd founder Roger Waters recalled the field visits he made to the occupied West Bank in the early 2000s, stressing that what he witnessed there in terms of repression and practices carried out by Israeli occupation forces was “horrific” and beyond what could be tolerated.

The prominent activist in the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement said that these experiences — including the separation wall, humiliating military checkpoints, restrictions on Palestinians’ movement, and the seizure of their land — were the main motivation and catalyst that shaped his firm political stance and his long-standing campaign against the apartheid system.

11. Northern Ireland excludes four Israeli athletes from triathlon event in rejection of normalization

The decision came after the local North West Triathlon Club objected to their participation.

The club said it could not support “representing Israel in international sport while Palestinians continue to suffer,” expressing its rejection of what it described as whitewashing Israel’s crimes through sporting competitions.

12. Leader of La France Insoumise: “Hossam Abu Safiya is an honor to his profession and to humanity”

Jean-Luc Mélenchon, leader of La France Insoumise and a candidate in the 2027 French presidential election, called for the release of Palestinian doctor Hossam Abu Safiya, who is being detained by Israel.

In a message of solidarity, Mélenchon said that Abu Safiya was “an honor to his profession and an honor to humanity,” calling on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to release him and stating that the doctor had been subjected to torture while in detention.

His appeal came in solidarity with several organizations, including the France-Palestine Solidarity Association, Amnesty International, Doctors Without Borders, and Avaaz.

13. Germany doubles military support for Israel and exports €800 million worth of equipment

The German government approved the export of defense and military equipment to Israel worth approximately €800 million during the first half of 2026, marking a record increase of four times the total exports for the whole of 2025, which amounted to €260 million.

According to the German newspaper Der Spiegel, this sharp escalation in arms supplies and German involvement came after Chancellor Friedrich Merz decided to partially lift the ban that had previously been imposed on arms deliveries to Israel and had ended last November.

Berlin approved €735.8 million of this amount — approximately 91.9% — during the second quarter of the year alone.

14. Student confronts French education minister and denounces her country’s complicity

A French student belonging to the student movement “Le Poing Levé” (“Raised Fist”) interrupted Higher Education and Research Minister Jean-Noël Barrot during a university event intended to bring young people together.

She condemned her country’s military policies and its continued complicity with Israel in the war of genocide against the Palestinian people.

The student confronted the French minister with strong words, saying: “What you are defending is France’s military rearmament, the race toward war, and nationalist propaganda.”

She also stressed that members of the French government were not welcome inside universities, which, she said, are being undermined by government policies through budget cuts and by placing responsibility on foreign students.

15. “Absolutely horrific”: Miliband reveals shocking testimonies from Gaza

Statements by British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband about the humanitarian and health situation in the Gaza Strip sparked angry reactions from Israel after he described testimonies he had received from medical and humanitarian workers as “absolutely horrific.”

He spoke of children who died while waiting to receive life-saving treatment and medicines that failed to reach those who needed them.

Miliband’s remarks came after a meeting with workers from international humanitarian and medical organizations, including people who had recently returned from the Gaza Strip and others who participated in the meeting directly from inside the Strip.

17. Activist raises Palestinian flag and confronts founder of “Iris Labs” over alleged support for genocide

Palestinian activist Rotem Abileis confronted one of the founders of the Israeli video-surveillance company “Iris Labs,” emphasizing what she described as his direct links to intelligence agencies and companies involved in supporting technologies used to repress Palestinians.

The activist explained that Abileis officially identifies himself as a former member of the Israeli occupation intelligence services and a former employee of the U.S. company “Palantir,” which has been accused of providing the Israeli military with data-analysis and artificial-intelligence systems used to identify targets.

18. “Tameside Solidarity” campaign calls for boycott of Reebok over its support for Israel

The Palestinian solidarity movement in Tameside launched an official appeal through its social media accounts calling for a comprehensive boycott of global sportswear company “Reebok,” accusing it of involvement in supporting the Israeli economy.

The appeal calls for the company’s products to be boycotted and for divestment from it, citing its alleged involvement in promoting and selling specific designs that support Israel, as well as cooperation with agents and distributors that contribute to financing Israel and the apartheid system.

The initiative is part of the efforts of international boycott movements to cut economic support for companies considered complicit.

19. South African court bars claims linking Cape Union Mart to support for Israel

The High Court of the Western Cape province in South Africa issued a ruling prohibiting activists from the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) from repeating claims linking outdoor-equipment retailer “Cape Union Mart” and its chairman, Philip Krawitz, to the financing of the Israeli occupation or genocide in Gaza.

The ruling followed a finding that the claims allegedly lacked a sufficient factual basis and that restrictions were necessary to prevent reputational harm to the company.

The ruling came after two years of ongoing demonstrations led by the campaign outside the company’s stores.
