**6. On International Women’s Day: 3,200 women missing in Gaza during the genocide**
The Palestinian Center for the Missing and Forcibly Disappeared said that International Women’s Day, observed on March 8, is an occasion to recall the tragedy of thousands of missing women in the Gaza Strip, which continues to worsen 28 months after the genocide war launched by the Israeli army.
This comes amid an evident inability to retrieve thousands of victims from beneath the rubble of destroyed homes and residential buildings.
In a statement, the center said field estimates indicate that around 8,000 people are missing in the Gaza Strip, including at least 3,200 women and girls. Other estimates suggest women may make up about 70% of the missing, amid the absence of precise statistics due to the massive destruction and difficulty accessing rubble sites.

He explained that this comes as part of continuous attempts to displace residents and seize land for settlement expansion toward Jericho.
Ghafri said settlers carried out new attacks yesterday, vandalizing and stealing residents’ property in the Bedouin community, reflecting ongoing pressure on Bedouin residents to force them to leave their lands.
He added that one of the most prominent attacks was what he described as the “burning attack,” which occurred during the summer of 2024 and continued into early 2025, when a large group of armed settlers stormed homes belonging to the Zawahra family and violently assaulted its members.
