Rome – Brussels | October 5, 2026
The European Palestinian Media Center (EPAL) has documented more than 68,000 demonstrations and events across 818 cities in 30 European countries during three years of genocide and ethnic cleansing in the occupied Gaza Strip and West Bank, amid ongoing aggression by Israeli occupation authorities.
Field and digital monitoring conducted by EPAL, in cooperation with Palestinian institutions and associations active across Europe, registered 68,162 events between October 2023 and October 2026.
According to the documented data, these included 53,480 field events alongside 14,682 digital events, reflecting what EPAL highlighted as the broad and sustained presence of the Palestinian cause in the European public sphere.
The movement reached 818 European cities, extending beyond major capitals and political hubs to encompass towns and cities throughout the continent.
Italy topped the list of countries in terms of field events, recording 8,558 events across 188 cities, followed by Germany with 7,839 events across 141 cities, Spain with 6,779 events across 134 cities, and France with 5,977 events across 127 cities.
The Netherlands followed with 3,817 events across 30 cities, Denmark with 3,715 events across 25 cities, Sweden with 3,451 events across 23 cities, and Belgium with 2,483 events across 23 cities.
EPAL also recorded 2,066 events in Ireland, 1,962 in Austria, 1,764 in Switzerland, 990 in Greece, in addition to hundreds of events across several other European nations.
According to EPAL, the distribution of events reflects the expanding scope and diverse hubs of the movement, as well as its continuity over the past three years. The high density of activities in certain countries and cities indicates established grassroots networks and initiatives that maintained regular, ongoing activity.

EPAL emphasizes that these figures represent the minimum documented number of events verified by its monitoring teams and do not constitute an exhaustive census of all activities in Europe, given the vast geographic reach, the multiplicity of organizing entities, and the challenges of comprehensively tracking every action.
The center also underscores that the recorded event numbers measure the volume of documented activities and do not necessarily reflect the total number of participants per event.
An infographic accompanies this statement, illustrating the key data and statistics in the report, including the total number of events, their breakdown into field and digital actions, and the distribution of solidarity mobilization by country and city during the monitoring period.
EPAL concludes that the past three years witnessed a broad and sustained European grassroots mobilization in support of Palestine, in which public squares and streets played a central role, extending from major capitals to hundreds of cities and towns continent-wide.
